Serves him right, doesn't it?
pain and anguish like never before,
a guilt, he never was sure of,
which he conveniently did ignore.
Winds and clouds, only he could think of,
dreamt throughout of rain,
wishing tears from his wet eyes
would wash away the stain.
His bitten soul would desire an angel,
one who always could astound,
not this time but, he said to himself,
no one can turn things around!

why so glum????
its like those paintings which we know are good, but fail to understand???
@shruti: Consider this as my attempt to write a sad poetry!
@ashtung: :) Poems are never meant to be understood fully. Try to paint the picture as good as you can.
Deep thoughts...but Y so sad??Rain is supposed to bring happiness hai na :)
@Aruna: Its all relative! Sometimes rains help in camouflaging the tears. :)
hmmm Orchy crying??
As I had promised you, I will write a comment worthy of your poem.
So, here it goes...
But it rained and it rained hard.
The tears scuffled for their existence,
only to succumb on behalf of the dullard,
albeit the battle was such an elegance.
And then a realization came,
came to his surprise,
he wasn’t the only one lame,
though it was just another reprise.
Wind blew and fiddled about his hair,
eyes blinked in a sudden glare.
O! My mighty lord, look what has he found!
to his much desired ‘astound’.
It seemed to him like an angel
and I saw their act of commingle.
But as the legend goes,
he could never know his foes.
The angel was no more than a man,
with all his quirks and foibles, sorrows and gabbles
His face crumpled and he sniveled slowly,
so much for a melancholy.

i tried hard comprehending your poem. just tell me if i even came remotely to success?
paraphrase:
stanza 1:
ork made some arbit mistake in some arbit relationship, and the sentimental chap that he is, thinks of it as some 'guilt'. but the good thing is that he is over it.
stanza 2:
now, after the break up, he was so bored that he started thinking about the weather. he thought that now that he is idle he can fulfill his long cherished dream of bringing rains to happen. But, alas, that failed him too. he finally wished that atleast his eyes would rain so as to wash away the miseries of the break up and the repeated inability to call rains.
stanza 3:
in this stanza, he now looks forward to a fresh beginning. a new relationship. instead of being pragmatic, he gets lost in a dreamworld. he longs for a angel who would change bring a dramatic turn to the way things are going in his life. but he wakes up to reality soon, to his own good.
;)
@Kay Gee: LOL
Haven't read such a load of crap before but it was equally funny! And since you asked this, you are not even remotely close. :)
